Two Hikers Airlifted From Escondido Falls In Malibu
Firefighters airlifted two hikers from an area near Escondido Falls, a popular waterfall with hiking trail in Malibu.

MALIBU, CA — Two hikers were found and airlifted by firefighters Saturday from the top of a popular Malibu waterfall with a hiking trail, authorities said.
Los Angeles County firefighters responded about 2:12 p.m. to two hikers in need of assistance near the 27200 block of Winding Way East, Dispatch Supervisor M. Choi said.
The area is near Escondido Falls, a popular waterfall with a hiking trail.

Firefighters later reported they were hoisting two patients by helicopter bound for the Zuma Beach Lifeguard Headquarters, she said.
Information about the ages, genders and injuries of the patients was not available.
