Vehicle Shears Off Hydrant in Malibu

No one was hurt in the crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Heathercliff Road in Malibu.

A motorist sheared off a hydrant along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu Monday.

The driver of a Nissan Pathfinder veered off northbound Pacific Coast Highway at Heathercliff Road and struck the hydrant, according to reports from the scene. 

The crash was reported just before 3:30 p.m. Monday, and no one was hurt, according to the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

There were no reports of traffic delays in the area.
