'Victor Victoria' Continues Malibu Stage Run

Performances of the musical comedy take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 4.

The gender-bending musical comedy Victor Victoria is being performed at through Dec. 4. The performances include a tribute to Blake Edwards, who wrote and directed the 1982 film version of the musical. Edwards died in December from pneumonia.

Victor Victoria tells the story of a struggling 1930s Paris singer named Victoria who disguises herself as a man named Victor, who performs a nightclub act as a female impersonator known as Victoria. The performances become a Paris hit, but the main charachter must deal with various problems created by this strange situation.

Performances take place Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m. Each show will open with a tribute to Edwards' work. The show features choreographed dance numbers and a live orchestra. To purchase tickets, call 310-589-1998 or go here.
