Winds Calm in Malibu

The High Wind and Red Flag warnings remain in effect until 3 p.m.

Malibu is making it through the windstorm without any reported damage or power outages. . The strong winds are expected to end their local reign by the end of the day, according to the National Weather Service.

The northeast winds are expected to travel at 30 mph to 35 mph with gusts that could reach 50 mph in the morning and early afternoon, but the speed is expected to decrease to 15 mph to 20 mph by the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. 

The Red Flag and High Wind warnings remain in effect until 3 p.m.

The weekend outlook includes heavier-than-normal winds, including gusts as high as 45 mph on Saturday and 35 mph on Sunday.
