2 LA Beaches Ranked Among Best In The World
Travel experts named Santa Monica and Venice Beach among the 10 best vacationing beaches in the world.
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Travel experts ranked Venice the third best vacationing beach in the world, followed closely by Santa Monica in fifth place, according to Bounce, a bag storage company.
The company used a ranking system that factored in weather, ocean temperature, nearby restaurants and hotel prices and even how Instragrammable the beach is.
Venice came in third place with a score of 6.54 out of 10. It had the second most restaurants nearby and had the fourth most people talking about it on Instagram with 4.2 million related hashtags.

Santa Monica came in fifth place with a score of 6.14 out of 10, following South Beach, Miami.
Santa Monica ranked similarly to Venice, according to Bounce, but had less social media traction.

Copacabana Beach in Brazil topped the list with a score of 6.97 out of 10. Santa Monica and Venice were the only two California beaches to make the top 10.
