BBQ Dinner, Movie Under The Stars: This Annual Campout In Manhattan Beach Has It All

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Warm summer nights sitting around the campfire and roasting marshmallows are just around the corner.

But you can skip the wait and get a preview of the summer season ahead through the 29th Annual Family Campout in Manhattan Beach later this month.

Registration for the 29th Annual Family Campout from May 17 to 18 is still open, but sign up fast as spots are limited, Manhattan Beach city officials said in a statement Friday.

The event, featuring a BBQ dinner, a movie under the stars and an early-morning pancake breakfast, will take place in Manhattan Heights Park, located at 1600 Manhattan Beach Blvd.

There will be several outdoor activities, arts and crafts and plenty of time to spend with the family.

The event costs $120 for residents and $130 for non-residents. It includes admission for four campers, a campsite, a parking space, meals and more, according to city officials. Additional campers can be registered for $20 each.

Campers under the age of two get free admission, but must still be listed on the registration form.
