The weekly crime summary covers incidents in Manhattan Beach from Oct. 17 to 23.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.
From Oct. 17 to 23 there were:
- 789 calls for service
- 16 arrests
- 20 traffic collisions
- 38 crime reports taken

- On Oct. 18, a resident's home security system caught a suspect passing in front of their home on a blue beach cruiser several times at about 3 a.m. In the security footage, police said the suspect is seen going into the garage and then riding away on the resident's electric bicycle. The abandoned blue beach cruiser was found near some trash cans on 31st Street, police said.
- Between Oct. 19 and 20 a resident noticed signs that a burglary happened at their home. The resident left his home and returned to find his front door closed but unlocked. Police said the back door of the home was open and two bicycles were stolen.
- On Oct. 20, a resident in the 1800 block of Oak Avenue received an alert from her home security system of two unknown people riding bikes past her home several times. In the footage, police said the suspects rode their bikes out of view and one suspect returned on foot a few minutes later. The person is seen opening the garage and leaving the area with a mountain bike that was inside.
- On Oct. 23, a commercial burglary was reported in the 500 block of Sepulveda Boulevard. The victim returned to his office and noticed signs of forced entry at the front door. Inside, the office and file cabinets were ransacked, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
