LAX to Be Busiest Thanksgiving Airport
Los Angeles International Airport is expected to be busy, busy, busy during the Nov. 23-27 holiday, according to Orbitz research.

Anyone planning to travel during the Thanksgiving holiday should be prepared to push their way through crowds at LAX, recently forecast to be the busiest airport in the nation this season, according to the Orbitz travel website.
Los Angeles International Airport topped the Orbitz "Busiest Airports for Thanksgiving 2011" list for travel Nov. 23-27. It took the No. 1 spot, bumping Chicago O'Hare International to No. 2., Orbitz has reported.
The website also listed the top 10 least busy Thanksgiving airports. Mineta San Jose International in San Jose, CA was No. 1 on the list, Kahului Airport in Maui, HI came in at No. 2.

Paying attention to TSA guidelines, checking in and printing boarding passes at home and mapping out parking options at airports were tips suggested by Orbitz for easier holiday travel.
