MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.
From Dec. 21 to 27 there were:
- 625 calls for service
- 17arrests
- 13 traffic collisions
- 40 crime reports taken

- The plaque installed at Bruce's Beach Parkthat details the site's storied history was stolen Monday night, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department. Police said at this time, the plaque's theft seems to be related to multiple bronze thefts in the South Bay area.
- On Jan. 29, police responded to Red Carpet Carwash due to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. According to witnesses, a homeless man argued with a car wash employee before lunging at the employee with a knife. The homeless man fled after the altercation, but police located and arrested him a short time later. The victim was not injured, police said.
