“Engaging with the community on the qualifications, skills, and attributes needed for the next Police Chief is an important step in the recruitment and selection process,” stated City Manager Bruce Moe. “I am confident this approach will assist me with valuable feedback as we begin the process to evaluate and select highly qualified candidates for this important leadership position.”
Throughout the recruitment and selection process, feedback from the community and input from various stakeholders regarding the ideal candidate’s qualifications and personal characteristics will be considered. Qualities, skills, and experience desired in the next MBPD Chief of Police may be submitted through February 27, 2022, to PoliceChief-CommunityInput@manhattanbeach.gov.
