COUNTY LIFTS INDOOR MASKING REQUIREMENT FOR CUSTOMERS UPON PROOF OF FULL VACCINATION

Manhattan Beach City Hall and City Facilities Continue to Require Indoor Masking

Manhattan Beach, CA (February 25, 2022) - Effective today, the Los Angeles County Health Officer Order has been updated to allow establishments, businesses, and venues verifying vaccination status to make masking indoors optional for fully vaccinated individuals.

Manhattan Beach, CA (February 25, 2022)

Those patrons not fully vaccinated must provide proof of a recent negative test to enter the business, and are still required to wear a mask indoors. The order also allows businesses to continue to require indoor masks if they do not wish to verify vaccination status.

Due to the labor-intensive nature of verifying vaccination and testing status of patrons entering City facilities without a mask, the City of Manhattan Beach has opted to continue requiring masks indoors for all patrons until further notice.

As transmission declines, it is anticipated that Los Angeles County will reach the Moderate Rate level of transmission by mid-March. After seven consecutive days at this level, the Los Angeles County Health Officer will remove the indoor masking mandate for fully vaccinated persons in most indoor public places. During this time of transition, many businesses in Manhattan Beach may not have the resources to verify vaccination status upon entrance; therefore, indoor masking will remain a requirement.
