Dead Man Washes Ashore On South Bay Beach

A body was discovered along the waterline in Manhattan Beach Sunday night, investigators said.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach police are investigating the death of a man whose body washed ashore late Sunday night.

Shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday, officers from the Hermosa and Manhattan Beach Police Departments as well as the Manhattan Beach Fire Department responded to a report of a body on the beach. The body was discovered at the waterline at Manhattan Beach in the 3500 block of the strand.

"At this time, there does not seem to be any foul play involved. The scene and circumstances are still under investigation," HBPD said in a statement.
