- An elderly woman withdrawing large sums of money from her bank account tipped off bank employees at Kinecta Bank to an elder financial abuse case, MBPD said. Employees called the police because they were concerned about the woman on May 31 and saw there were multiple flags on her account for possible fraud or abuse. A man was seen with the elderly woman in the bank's parking lot getting into a car, so police flagged down the vehicle. The officer discovered the woman suffers from memory impairment and was the victim of financial elder abuse that was estimated to be close to $1 million. The man was arrested on suspicion of elder abuse, police said.
- On June 3, police responded to a report of a commercial burglary that occurred in the 1500 block of Rosecrans Avenue. When officers arrived they discovered signs of forced entry at the rear door of the business, but police said the suspect did not enter the business.
