Active Shooter Reported at LAX Terminal 7 was 'False Alarm': Police
Police are still investigating the incident. No evacuation was ordered. Authorities said people at the terminal self-evacuated.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Reports of an active shooter at LAX Terminal 7 were a false alarm, an Airport Police officer said.
Airport police received multiple calls of an active shooter at around 8:45 p.m., Airport Police Officer Alicia Hernandez said. Police did not find any shots fired or identified a suspect, she said.
"I can confirm that it was a false alarm," she said.

There were reports of Terminal 7 was being evacuated, but Hernandez said the people who evacuated, self-evacuated. There was no formal evacuation of the terminal.
Police are still investigating the incident, but the terminal is operating as usual, she said.

Though, the commotion caused a logjam of vehicles and stranded passengers has brought the airport to a crawl. It may be a while before the airport returns to normal.
