Manhattan Beach Assemblyman Won't Vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton
Assemblyman David Hadley said both candidates 'have shown themselves unfit for the highest office in the land.'

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Assemblyman David Hadley, a Republican from Manhattan Beach, announced he will not vote for either the Republican nominee or Democratic nominee for president.
Hadley wrote in an op-ed published by the Daily Breeze that after watching both the Republican and Democratic national conventions, he was forced to "stand up for South Bay Values."
"Here is the bottom line: I am not voting for either Secretary Clinton or Mr. Trump," he wrote. "Both have shown themselves unfit for the highest office in the land."

Hadley criticized Donald Trump for "provocation and polarization," citing the examples of insults against Carly Fiorina and the Indiana-born Federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is presiding over a lawsuit against Trump University.
Hadley said Clinton was no better.

" She clearly endangered American military and intelligence personnel by failing to safeguard classified emails," he wrote.
A spokesman for Hadley told the Los Angeles Times, Hadley hasn't made up his mind whether to back a third-party candidate or abstain from voting for president.
Hadley is facing a tough reelection in the 66th Assembly District against Democrat Al Muratsuchi, who has repeatedly challenged him to denounce Trump.
Hadley ended the op-ed by urging residents to cast a vote come November.
