MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.
From Dec. 21 to 27 there were:
- 495 calls for service
- 16 arrests
- 7 traffic collisions
- 45 crime reports taken

- On Dec. 27, an armed robbery occurred at a Macy's. According to police, a suspect held a gun on employees at a jewelry counter and stole gold jewelry from the display cases. The suspect fled the store and the investigation is ongoing, MBPD said.
- A suspect broke into the Apple store at the Manhattan Village Mall on Dec. 21 and took numerous phones from the store. Police said they discovered a smashed window in the mall as well as the front door to the Apple store. Gardena officers notified MBPD that they located one of the suspects who fled from the robbery, and they were taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
- On the night between Dec. 21 and 22, suspects smashed the front window of a business and ransacked the front desk area. Police said it was uncertain whether or not anything was stolen.
- A package and a car were stolen from a home in Manhattan Beach sometime between Dec. 23 and 27. When police arrived they observed the home wasn't secured. The investigation is ongoing.
