Manhattan Beach Homeowner Cries Foul, Says Home Not Abandoned
The homeowner said he is in the middle of restoring the 1920-era home.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A Manhattan Beach homeowner was disappointed that his home was cited as an example of an abandoned property at a recent city council meeting, according to the Beach Reporter
Robert Schumann, who owns the home in the 3100 block of The Strand, said he is in the middle of restoring the 1920-era home.
“I’m extremely disappointed that it was used as a centerpiece example for what this abandoned property ordinance was supposed to accomplish, when, in fact, it doesn’t apply to it at all,” Schumann told the Beach Reporter.
