"It's a celebration of our community and our resiliency."

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair returns this weekend following a hiatus during the pandemic.
"It's an event organized by the community, for the community," said Joe Marcy, Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association. "We need it now, more than ever."
The event Saturday and Sunday features arts and live entertainment and helps fundraise for local nonprofits.

"When you purchase food, order a round of drinks or play a paid game, you support charity," Marcy said.

The Wine Garden will help support Leadership Manhattan Beach and the Neptunian Woman's Club. The Wine Garden will feature roseade this year, and you can also find new organic seltzers in the Beer Garden.

"This year’s fair is special for many reasons," Marcy said. "It’s a celebration of our community and our resiliency."
Expect to see traditional fair elements with modifications, and of course, plan to follow health and safety guidelines.
"We’ve been working closely with the County of Los Angeles and the City of Manhattan Beach," Marcy said. "We share a common goal, to create a safe and healthy environment for all to enjoy."
More than 175 arts and crafts booths will line Valley Drive. The fair will also have free games on Dorsey Field and Kid Country, Marcy said. And, expect food and entertainment.
