Manhattan Beach Needs Volunteers For Annual Homeless Count

The count is part of Manhattan Beach's "ongoing efforts to actively participate in solutions to address homelessness​," the City said.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The City of Manhattan Beach needs volunteers for the 2020 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count, from 8 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22.

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority conducts the homeless count every January across Los Angeles County. The Manhattan Beach deployment site will be at the Joslyn Community Center at 1601 N. Valley Drive. Participating in the count is part of the City's "ongoing efforts to actively participate in solutions to address homelessness," the press release said.

"This count allows stakeholders to receive official statistics of what homelessness looks like in our community," the City of Manhattan Beach said.
