Manhattan Beach Planning to Add Cameras, License Plate Readers
The city is asking for feedback from the community at a meeting Wednesday. Inputs are also accepted online until Sept. 9

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The city of Manhattan Beach is asking for public feedback on its plan to install security cameras and license plate readers in the city.
The cameras and license plate readers will be placed at entrance and exit points of the community to enhance public safety, the city said.
Residents are invited to voice their opinion on the proposed initiative from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Manhattan Beach Police Station Community Room, 420 15th St. Residents many also give inputs online at the city's Open City Hall forum.

The topic will be available for comments until Friday, Sept. 9.
