Manhattan Beach Police Asking for Help IDing Man who Made Bomb Threats at MBS

The threats were made by an unidentified man who expressed "a hatred towards America and Americans​" and threatened to blow up the studios.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA -- Manhattan Beach police on Wednesday are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who made bomb threats to the Manhattan Beach Studios last year.

The threats were made on Sept. 14, 2015, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:25 a.m., according to police. MBS received three calls from an unidentified man who expressed "a hatred towards America and Americans" and threatened to blow up the studios, police said.

Police were able to trace to call to a public pay phone in Santa Monica and have obtained surveillance video from a nearby business at the time of one of the calls. A dark skin man was seen on the phone and left a short time later, police said.

He was described as between 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall, wearing glasses and a watch on his right wrist, a pink short-sleeve polo shirt, black pants, and black shoes with pink shoe strings.

He was seen driving a 2002 to 2006 BMW 323i convertible with a black top.
