MBUSD Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Many parents have already begun back-to-school planning for their Manhattan Beach students as summer break winds down.

The first day of school in Manhattan Beach Unified School District is Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Aug. 21
• Local Holiday: Oct. 3
• Election Day: Nov. 5
• Veteran's Day: Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving break: Nov. 25-29
• Winter break: Dec 23 - Jan. 3
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Jan. 20
• Mid-Winter Break: Feb. 10-17
• Spring break: April 14-21
• Memorial Day: May 26
• Last day: June 12
