Mira Costa High School Ranked Among Top Schools Nationwide

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach was celebrated for being an exceptional school for college readiness ranking in the top 500 nationwide and in the top 70 within the state of California, according to U.S. News and World Report.

Out of 18,000 public schools in the country, Mira Costa High School ranked 435 nationally and 64 in California. For countywide rankings, Mira Costa ranked 27.

Mira Costa's total score from U.S. News was 97.54 taking into account subject proficiency, advanced placement exam participation and graduation rate. The school's graduation rate is 96 percent, according to U.S. News.

U.S. News rankings are determined by college readiness scores, based on demographics, state test scores and college prep exams. The rankings are focused on six factors:
