Ian Jeffrey Maier, previously Ian Jeffrey Wandler, passed away on December 2nd, 2021 with his wife and their two fur babies by his side at their residence. At the young age of 33, Ian was able to accomplish many monumental achievements.
Ian played football under Coach Pete Carroll and Dave Canales at The University of Southern California (USC) where he graduated magna cum laude. He received the Medal of Valor (which one of their dogs was named after) on training as a police officer for the City of Torrance while saving a life. He was a true hero, an incredible friend to many, extremely loyal, and participated in community service including being on a board at UCLA Health.

He left behind his one and only true love along with their two fur babies, as well as the only family in his life that surrounded him with lots of unconditional love and support even during the most difficult times, which includes: Bill Wandler, Jim Wandler, and John and Kathy Wandler. Ian did not want to be mourned, yet wanted to be celebrated amongst the people that were present in his life until the end.
