Pier Lighting Ceremony Rings In Holiday Season In Manhattan Beach

The event marks the start of the festive holiday season throughout Downtown and on the Pier.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — This year's lighting ceremony at the Manhattan Beach Pier will include games, performances and exhibits from the Roundhouse Aquarium to ring in the holiday season.

The 34th Annual Pier Lighting will be on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event marks the start of festive holiday lighting throughout Downtown with snowflake lights and a lighted street banner.

There, families can enjoy an extended-hour open house at the Aquarium with hot chocolate, cookies, and games as well as interactive touch tanks and marine exhibits.

Residents will also be able to enjoy performances from the student choirs from Mira Costa High School and Manhattan Beach Middle School.

Just off the pier, residents can enjoy extended hours at restaurants, stores and businesses in Downtown Manhattan Beach. Businesses will be open until 9 p.m. and will offer different holiday experiences.

Booths for the Beach Cities Toy Drive will be available for residents to donate unwrapped new toys to the set-up in downtown. More drop-off locations after the holiday open house will be available at Manhattan Beach City Hall and Fire Stations.
