Ruby May Hixson, 87, of Manhattan Beach has been identified as the pedestrian killed Tuesday morning when she was hit by a motorcycle traveling northbound on Sepulveda Boulevard around 5:25 a.m., said police.
The collision also took the life of motorcyclist Daniel M Lindeman of Torrance, who turned 41 in late July. Hixson would have turned 88 in September.
The collision closed Sepulveda Boulevard in both directions for around 8 hours as police investigated the scene, waited for the coroner to arrive and had debris cleared from the road.
Hixson leaves behind a husband who lives in Manhattan Beach.
