From July 25 to 31 there were:
- 848 calls for service
- 16 arrests

- On July 25, a MBPD patrol officer was informed that a stolen car had just driven into the city. The officer located the vehicle in the area of Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Aviation Boulevard and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect was detained and police said they discovered the suspect was on probation and had a warrant out for their arrest. Police also discovered the suspect was driving with a suspended license and was in possession of drugs.
- On July 29, a woman living in the 300 block of 9th Street called the police after seeing a person dressed in all black crouching down in her backyard. The woman told police that she yelled at the person and they ran away shouting something at another person in the alley. MBPD discovered the suspect entered an unlocked side door into the garage and began to remove items before they were caught. No property was stolen, police said.
