Putrid Odor In Manhattan Beach Causes Concern; File Complaint

There's a horrible smell in the air in the Tree Section and residents are concerned. Here's how to file a complaint about air quality.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Several Manhattan Beach residents awakened to a putrid odor this morning; for some, the odor managed to get inside their homes while others smell it when outside. The majority of complaints are coming from Tree Section residents though depending on origin and wind, other parts of the city may be affected as well.

Whenever you experience an air quality issue, here's how to officially file a complaint with the South Coast Air Quality Management District, which logs complaints and pursues them to figure out the source, what can be done and any warnings or fines that may need to be imposed.

Visit this page and scroll down to the phone number that accompanies "Air Quality Complaints(Excessive odors, smoke, dust, or other air contaminants)," which is 800-CUT-SMOG (288-7664) and call. Or file a complaint online.
