'Senseless' Shooting In Manhattan Beach Leaves Family Seeking Answers
"The pain that this has left us is unimaginable," the family said in a GoFundMe.
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The family of a 24-year-old man who died after he was shot in the head early New Year’s Day is seeking the public’s help to find his killer, according to reports.
Andrei “Nico” Gianan died last week, his family said in a GoFundMe.
“This was a total, senseless act of violence and he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time,” the online fundraiser said. “The pain that this has left us is unimaginable.”

The attack occurred around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1 in the 1400 block of 11th Street in Manhattan Beach, according to police, who said a man was taken to Harbor General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said after the shooting that they did not believe it was random.
“My son was not a member of anything,” Gianan’s father, Francisco Gianan, told FOX 11.

Andrei Gianan had gone to work at Wingstop in San Pedro the night before his death, later traveling to Manhattan Beach, presumably for a party, FOX 11 reported.
“Nico was known for his infectious smile, his goofy personality, and his big heart,” the GoFundMe said. “He could make the whole room laugh and was a joy to be with.”
As of Tuesday evening, the GoFundMe had raised almost $18,000 for his funeral expenses and associated costs.
