MANHATTAN BEACH, CA -- Two teens rescued their friend from a sexual assault attack Friday night in Manhattan Beach. Police said the incident was reported around 9:37 p.m. in the area of 3rd Street and Valley Drive, police said.

Three teenage girls told police they were walking in the area when a man in a car signaled for them to come over to him. He asked the girls if they needed a ride, then exposed his penis while masturbating, police said.

The three girls ignored the man and continued walking. The man later shoved one of the girls to the ground and touched her genital area. The other two girls punched him until the victim escaped. They then ran home and called the police, authorities said.
