MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.
From Feb. 22 to 28 there were:
- 667 calls for service
- 15 arrests
- 24 traffic collisions

- On Feb. 24 between 6:10 a.m. and 9:10 p.m. a Manhattan Beach home in the 2500 block of Oak Avenue was ransacked while the residents were out, police said. When the residents returned home, they saw the kitchen door was open and multiple rooms were rummaged through. They reported several gold rings and cash stolen.
- On Feb. 26, police discovered a home in the 600 block of Rosecrans Avenue was ransacked. According to police, a neighbor called the homeowner, who was out of town at the time, to let them know that a door was left open. Police arrived to investigate the situation and found two doors at the back of the home and a balcony door open. No suspects were found inside, but police said multiple rooms were ransacked and designer purses and jewelry were stolen.
- On Feb. 27 a resident saw an unknown man standing in her neighbor's garage in the 4000 block of The Strand. The man left the house carrying a soft-top surfboard and a wet suit, the neighbor told police. Initially, the homeowner believed that the man was a family member, but later realized that a theft had occurred.
