That's One Tall Boat

It was kind of hard to miss.

The M5, the super-yacht formerly known as the Mirabella V, pulled into Marina del Rey this weekend.

It was the largest resident Mike McCollough had ever seen.

“ I first saw the mast from the 90 freeway over Culver Boulevard,” he said.

That’s because it is the tallest. According to Wikipedia, the M5 cost more than $50 million to build in 2003 and is is the largest single-masted yacht ever built.

Take that, Larry Ellison! (OK, his is a lot bigger and more expensive, but the M5, she’s got stature!)
