MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.

From July 11 to 17 there were:

  • 667 calls for service
  • 18 arrests
  • 24 traffic collisions
  • 36 crime reports taken

  • On July 11, a man told police several credit cards were stolen from his car in the El Porto Parking Lot. That day before leaving his car, the man left his keys on the racks attached to the roof of the car. The thief used those keys to get inside the car and steal from his wallet. The victim also noticed several pending fraudulent charges on his crads.
  • Sometime between July 12 and 15, a thief cut their way into a construction site in the 1700 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard through a chain-link fence. When construction crews returned to the site on July 15, they saw the hole and noticed a toolbox was missing. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Sometime between July 12 and 15, another theft took place at a construction site in the parking lot of Northrop Grumman. The construction crew noticed a storage chest that they had secured was broken into and tools were missing. The investigation is ongoing.
