Unsafe Bacterial Levels At Two Manhattan Beach Beaches: Public Health
Angelenos should avoid swimming at some county beaches, the department of public health advised.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA - Residents should avoid swimming at the Manhattan Beach Pier and the beach at the extension of 40th Street due to increased bacteria levels, the department of public health announced Monday.
A number of county beaches have seen continued bacteria warnings, only worsened by a massive sewage spill near Palos Verdes in September.
Manhattan Beach Pier and the beach at the extension of 40th Street were among five Los Angeles County beaches to test for unsafe levels of bacteria, including: Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro; Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica; Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Rey.
