MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach city officials are asking residents to take a survey that will help California better understand water usage across the Golden State's communities.
And everyone who completes that survey will be entered into a raffle to win an iPad.
State officials are trying to create more informed policies that will foster a more sustainable future that "balances human needs and environmental preservation," according to the survey.

The five-minute survey asks questions such as how many toilets and bidets, bathtubs, kitchen sinks, washing machines or garbage disposals are in each resident's household.
"Join thousands of Californians in sharing how you use water at home," Manhattan Beach city officials said in a statement on social media Tuesday morning. "Your input matters."
