Since Bavaria is really far away, and the actual Oktoberfest is already over, here are a few places to celebrate the beer festival locally:
- Tony P’s Dockside Grill will be celebrating Oktoberfest on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. with a five-course dinner paired with beers from its vast assortment. $60 including tax and tip.
- Chalet Edelweiss, located at 8740 Sepulveda Blvd in Westchester will be offering an all-you-can eat dinner for $25 accompanied by Bavarian music.
- Marina del Rey Autumn Food Truck Festival, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the corner of Via Marina and Tahiti Way.
In Bavaria, Germany, Oktoberfest is traditionally celebrated for 16 days, and this year the fun goes from Sept. 22—Oct. 7. It is one of the most spirited celebrations in Germany, and is a huge part of Bavarian culture.
