Chef Kristina Miksyte Introduces Plov Burritos At Marina Del Rey Restaurant
Chef Kristina Miksyte has transformed the ultimate Russian comfort food by adding a California twist, just in time for Cinco De Mayo.

MARINA DEL REY, CA — Just in time for Cinco De Mayo, Doma Kitchen in Marina Del Rey has introduced Plov Burritos to their menu.
In a city that loves burritos, Chef Kristina Miksyte has transformed the ultimate Russian comfort food by adding a California twist. Tradition includes rice prepared with lamb, browned in lamb fat and then stewed with fried onions, garlic and carrots.
Miksyte's plov is spiced with whole black cumin, coriander, barberries, red pepper, marigold, and pepper. Heads of garlic and garbanzo beans are buried into a flour tortilla with melted cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onion relish, sour cream and served with a side of house guacamole and salsa.
