DISC Surgery Center at Marina del Rey Goes In-Network with Medicare

Procedures now covered for Medicare members include total joint replacement, artificial disc replacement, spinal fusion and more.

DISC Surgery Center has announced that its state-of-the-art Marina del Rey facility is now in-network with Medicare after meeting all qualifying health and safety standards. These standards, known as Conditions for Coverage (CFCs), encompass such key areas as surgical services, infection control, emergency preparedness and patient rights. The goal is to provide effective, safe, efficient, patient-centered, equitable and timely care.

DISC Surgery Center at Marina del Rey, which was already AAAHC accredited upon its 2023 opening, specializes in spine and musculoskeletal care performed by some of the region’s top doctors in their fields. Procedures now covered for Medicare members in the 11,000 square-foot facility include total joint replacement, artificial disc replacement, microdiscectomies, spinal fusion and spinal cord stimulators, among others.

“Today’s news underscores DISC’s commitment to broaden patient access to the highest level of spine and musculoskeletal care possible – all in a convenient, comfortable outpatient environment with proven faster recoveries, better outcomes and a quicker return to active lives,” said Dr. Luke Macyszyn, a neurological spine surgeon and physician partner at DISC. “We’re very pleased that we’re now able to serve more Southern Californians as a Medicare-approved facility.”
