Marina Drum Circle Invites Music Lovers To Join Community Jam

MARINA DEL REY, CA — Music enthusiasts are invited to join the Marina Drum Circle each week in Marina del Rey, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches & Harbors.
The family-friendly drumming event is free and available for music fans of all ages and skill levels. It's held with two 90-minute sessions from 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. each Sunday through Sept. 26 at Burton Chace Park, 13650 Mindanao Way, county organizers said.
The interactive experience takes place on the water's edge, led by Christopher Ramirez of Freedom Drum Circles. Drums and other percussion instruments will be provided.

Expect tons of dining and food truck options there, too.
"Head to the Marina early to dine at a local restaurant with a waterfront view or place a takeout order," organizers said. "Participants can also order lunch from an on-site food truck or bring their own food and drinks."

People are urged to continue following health guidelines in the pandemic during the event.
"By visiting any County-owned and/or operated venue, attendee voluntarily assumes all risks related to exposure to COVID-19," organizers said. "Due to possible close contact with others outside your household, wearing a face mask and maintain physical distance is highly recommended (regardless of vaccination status)."
The Marina Drum Circle is free but pre-registration is required. Get free tickets for either the 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. session at MDRdrums.com. Event parking is available in nearby County lots #77 and #4, located at 13560 and 13500 Mindanao Way.
