Missing Man Last Seen Near Marina del Rey Has Been Found: Police

A schizophrenic 45-year-old man last seen near Marina del Rey who authorities say has the mental capacity of a 7-year-old has been located.

MARINA DEL REY, CA -- A 45-year-old schizophrenic man who went missing last week in Marina del Rey, has been found, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Zanwar “Zan” Campbell, a San Bernardino County resident, had last been seen the afternoon of Sept. 13 in the 4700 block of Admiralty Way before he disappeared, and authorities sought public help to find him.

Campbell is described as Black, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, a beard and a scar on his right arm, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. Officials had also said that he had the mental capacity of a 7-year-old.

On afternoon of Friday, Sept. 17, the Sheriff's Dept. reported that Campbell had been located. Full details of what happened to him and where he was located were not released.
