No Injuries In Deputy Shooting In Ladera Heights, Officials Say

LADERA HEIGHTS, CA — Sheriff's deputies from the Marina del Rey Station opened fire on a suspect Sunday evening in Ladera Heights, officials said. No one was hit.

The deputy-involved shooting happened in the 3800 block of Chanson Drive around 7:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responded to an unspecified call for service and encountered the man whom they shot at, the LASD said. The man was not hit by gunfire, but he was detained and transported to a hospital for a checkup.
