Boat Burglar Takes Laptop
A boat owner who went on an overseas business trip came back to his vessel in Marina del Rey to find it ransacked and his laptop computer gone, according to a sheriff deputy's report.

The victim told sheriff's deputies that he had left April 1 on a business trip and kept his boat unlocked for his cleaning service to access. When he returned May 26, the man said he immediately noticed his boat had been ransacked and a $1,000, 15-inch MacBook laptop computer was missing.
No arrest was made.

Cadillac Entertainment System Stolen
A man reported May 26 that someone had broken into his black Cadillac Escalade and stole its $1,200 entertainment system, according to a sheriff deputy's report.
The man said he had parked and locked the vehicle in the driveway of his residence about 1 a.m. and when he came out about 10:55 a.m. he noticed the all-in-one navigation system, radio, DVD and CD player unit missing.
There was no damage to the vehicle and deputies couldn't locate the point of entry.
A print deputy was requested to see whether the thief left any fingerprints behind.
No arrest was made.
