Sunny Afternoon, No July 4th Fireworks and Click It

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a sunny afternoon with a chance of drizzle and patchy fog expected tonight.

Today is May 22. It is the 142nd day of the year. We are under a waning gibbous moon. Sunset will occur about 7:54 p.m. Here are five things to know:

1. The National Weather Service forecast for this afternoon calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 62 degrees with a chance of drizzle and patchy fog after 11 p.m. tonight and an overnight low around 55 degrees. There's a chance of drizzle before 11 a.m. Monday but then it should clear to become mostly sunny with a high near 64 degrees.

2. The county's Department of Beaches and Harbor has announced that it has cancelled the annual Fourth of July fireworks display over the skies of Marina del Rey due to budget constraints. More details right here.

3. The "Click It or Ticket" campaing targeting seat belt scofflaws starts Monday and runs through June 5. More details right here.
