A Dragon Entertains A Library Full Of Kids And Parents

While President Obama was giving his State of the Union Address, about 100 kids and parents came to the Martinez Library Tuesday, Jan. 24 to watch the White Crane Lion Dancers from Oakland. The event was a celebration of Chinese New Year, which this year is Year of the Dragon. The kids were enthralled by the dancing dragon and its antics, which included eating a head of cabbage and interacting with the audience. The event was sponsored by the Friends of the Martinez Library.
