Updated: Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Riders Advised To Seek Alternatives

BART service is delayed this morning between Concord and Pittsburg/Bay Point; riders are being advised to seek alternatives.

UPDATE 1:00PM-

Equipment problems possibly related to a power issue have caused a BART service disruption between North Concord and Pittsburg/Bay Point today and a bus bridge has been set up to ease delays, an agency dispatcher said.

BART officials initially reported on Twitter at 10:14 a.m. that service had stopped on the line because of an equipment problem on the tracks.

A dispatcher could not immediately confirm the exact cause of that equipment problem, which has brought delays of at least 20 minutes, but said it may be a power issue.

As of late this morning, BART officials said there was still no service running between North Concord and Pittsburg/Bay Point and that riders should seek alternate means of transportation.

CONCORD - BART service is so delayed by an equipment problem this morning between Concord and Pittsburg/Bay Point that riders are being advised to seek alternate means of transportation.

At 10:14 a.m., BART officials reported on Twitter that service had stopped on the line because of an equipment problem on the tracks.

No information has been provided on that equipment problem, but a dispatcher said that it has caused service delays of more than 20 minutes.
