An Early Look at the Martinez Public Library

Driving by the Martinez Public Library on Monday, I noticed the doors were open. I went inside and asked the folks behind the desk if I could take some quick shots.

Though it's not scheduled to open until August 20, here is a quick video peek at some of the renovations made to the first floor of the library. There are already many books, magazines and DVDs on the shelves. New carpet is in, new paint is on the walls, and the staff is putting a schedule together.

This Martinez treasure is nearly ready to open again, better than ever. Meanwhile, here's how things are shaping up.
