CD Release Party Sunday For The Hopeful Romantics

The sophomore effort for the local group will be on sale at Armando's.

Sunday marks the first Americana Sunday for Armando's, and with it the official launch party of "Callin' Your Name," the latest CD offering from the Hopeful Romantics.Β

Like their first CD, this collection is a combination of Americana covers and great originals, authored mostly by bandleaders Danny White and Hope Savage. However, Hopeful mandolin player Brian Walker has one of his, as does Hopeful bassist and Patch blogger Bruce Campbell.Β

If you're a fan of this genre, which combines elements of country, bluegrass, Appalachian and folk music, you are bound to love the Hopeful Romantics. Their shows are more like house parties than concerts. They love sing-alongs and bringing the crowd with them on their musical sojourns.

Americana Sunday is this Sunday from 3pm to 6pm. The cover charge is $10. Get there early for a good seat. These guys usually fill the house.Β
