CHP Seeks Driver Who Hit 15-Year-Old Bicyclist, Fled Scene
A 15-year-old boy from Pacheco was hit by a car while riding his bicycle near Martinez 10 days ago. The car fled. Police have a description.

MARTINEZ - The California Highway Patrol is asking for the publicβs help in locating a Toyota Prius that may have crashed into a 15-year-old boy from Pacheco ten days ago.
The CHP says in a Facebook post on February 15, 2016 at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Pacheco boy was riding his bicycle with a friend along the right shoulder of eastbound Pacheco Boulevard, near Sodaro Drive, near Martinez.
Officers say for unknown reasons a vehicle, described as a late 2000 model Toyota Prius, veered off the roadway and collided with the back of the 15-year-oldβs bicycle.

The force of impact threw the bicyclist to the roadway with major injuries.
After the collision, police say the driver fled from the scene. They believe the vehicle may have damage to the left front bumper.
