'Christmas House' Catches Fire Again

The Brock family experienced yet another fire at their burned-out home on Walnut Street Tuesday morning. This time, however, fire crews quickly had the flames under control. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Just seven months ago in January, the 'Christmas House' at 910 Walnut Street, known for annually lighting up Martinez with festive cheer, . A demolition permit was issued by City Hall late last month. 

Fire crews responded to Tuesday's fire at around 4 a.m. and had it under control by 4:38 a.m., according to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. 

PG&E had to shut off a gas line at the site, fire officials said. PG&E spokeswoman Janna Morris said there was an exposed natural gas line at the house and PG&E crews managed to shut off the flow of gas.
