City To Hold Joint Public Workshop On 2023-2031 Housing Element Update
City Council and the Planning Commission will discuss the status of the General Plan to include affordable housing for residents.
MARTINEZ, CA — Martinez City Council will hold a joint, public workshop with the Planning Commission on the 2023-2031 Housing Element Update Wednesday, Feb. 25 beginning at 7 p.m.
According to the posted agenda for the meeting, council and the planning commission will discuss the status of the project, a comprehensive, long-term, General Plan for the physical development of the city. The plan will include a discussion on affordable housing and how the city intends to meet existing and projected housing needs of all residents.
During the meeting the group will also discuss a tentative schedule and here the results from the Housing Needs and Priorities Survey conducted late last year. Both the Planning Group and City Council, will provide feedback to staff on potential programs that may be incorporated into the new Housing Element. The group will also discuss next steps of the project.
